  • Where are the INworlds driver ratings for Nurburgring for the 2020 Eifel Grand Prix?

  • Modern ring is located within the Südschleife. An 8 km track built at the same time as the Nordschleife. Abandoned after 1970/71 renovation of the Nordschleife, large parts of it was demolished for the GP circuit. It's a little sad the Südschleife often gets forgotten, despite it being nearly a 3rd of the legendary Green Hell back in the day.

  • Nah, it's called Eifel Grand Prix because the name German Grand Prix is owned by the ADAC, an organization, that usually holds the race at Hockenheim, but the organization that holds the race at the Nürburgring (not the ADAC) can't call it German Grand Prix (this name is owned by the ADAC), so they had to call it Eifel Grand Prix. I had to say that, sorry.

    David BrownDavid Brownमहीने पहले
    • @Marco Imanuel actually, Herbert Diess recently said on LinkedIn that he prefers F1 over Formula E. And with F1 getting CO2 neutral, he thinks that it is the much better motorsport. So you can't be absolutely certain about Porsche never coming back to F1. Apparently they already have developed an F1 hybrid powertrain. This project wasn't finished and got cancelled, but they would have something to start with if they actually came back.

      Tobias KTobias Kमहीने पहले
    • @Richard Naujoks only time will tell i guess. About f1 transitioning into hydrogen, it's a very intresting idea. But since FCEVs are basically EVs, they will sound like EVs. Which is very not like f1. Most likely they'll transition to bio fuels

      Marco ImanuelMarco Imanuelमहीने पहले
    • @Marco Imanuel it's true that they dont build their own electrical Motors and ERS, but theyre working with companies that do on Hybrid projects. ik thats a real long shot, but maybe a cosworth-rimac collab? lmao

      Richard NaujoksRichard Naujoksमहीने पहले
    • @Richard Naujoks but cosworth only produce ICE only. Not hybrid system. Considering f1 had a crap ton of advanced hybrid systems like mgu k and h, it'll be very unlikely for them to come to f1

      Marco ImanuelMarco Imanuelमहीने पहले
    • the VW group doesn't develop new ICUs anymore. F1 will have to go full electrical or hydrogen powered or whatever before theyre gonna come back. same with bmw or the big japanese manufacturers. the only real possibility I see for a new engine supplier to come into the sport is cosworth. theyve pumped out crazy advanced new performance combustion engines like it's nothing in the last couple of years. and theyve seen great Returns from their involvements with the likes of the valkyrie or the T50.

  • 0:11 gentlemen, a short view back to the past. Thirty years ago, Niki Lauda told us ‘take a monkey, place him into the cockpit and he is able to drive the car.’ Thirty years later, Sebastian told us ‘I had to start my car like a computer, it’s very complicated.’ And Nico Rosberg said that during the race - I don’t remember what race - he pressed the wrong button on the wheel. Question for you both: is Formula One driving today too complicated with twenty and more buttons on the wheel, are you too much under effort, under pressure? What are your wishes for the future concerning the technical programme during the race? Less buttons, more? Or less and more communication with your engineers?

    AdiUzualAdiUzualमहीने पहले
    • Marco Imanuel - Yes, there is one button for DRS. Press the button to activate DRS, and it will automatically deactivate when the car’s brakes are applied. I’ve had the immense pleasure of sitting in Hülkenberg’s 2016 F1 Car, and let me tell you, the wheel is far from straightforward. There are at least 4 dials on the front, the LCD Display in the middle, 5 paddles on the back, and loads of buttons dotted around it all. Nico’s DRS button was in the top-right area, making it easy to move the thumb and activate the button. (few things are as satisfying as the button clicks on that wheel :D )

  • Schumacher s named after Michael Schumacher. The nordschleife was given the nickname green Hell by Sir Jackie Stewart. the nickname suggests elevation changes and winding roads. And the narrow road Road width let's not forget the long straight away. Lots of lots of braking before corners until suddenly the brakes quit claiming lives of many drivers all across Motorsports disciplines. Luckily we not going to race on that layout. Back to the subject of the Nurburgring GP layout. That lap record was set by none other than of course Michael Schumacher for the 2002 variation. Before him. The original 1984 GP layout. the records set by none other than Juan Pablo Montoya. Minute 49 and 468 for the 2002 layout. And minute 18 + 354 for the OG GP Layout. One driven a Ferrari that get the stuff done and the other drove A Williams.

He says everything is possible and the Nordschleife could eventually come back in the future. He mentions that indeed a different setup would be needed, but if you can drive in Monaco or Baku, it should also be possible on the Nordschleife. He also says that there should not be massive problems in terms of safety as the Nordschleife gets updated just like all other racetracks. After all, he's the CEO, but of course that would need some big discussions and many years to actually bring them back on this track.
