  • Driving genius. Senna and Schumi were big draws, and still are despite their fate. Much of the sport has changed for the worse, engine sounds missed. We got spoiled and the benchmarks were high. Time flies. Good luck everyone

  • Odd how life works, Michael Schumacher drove the fastest cars in the world and risked his life every time he got on one... he is in a bad state because he was skiing and a stupid fucking rock was there where he fell in pissed at life for shitty things that happen that shouldn’t happen, I’m sad 🥺😢😭

  • Michael's comeback was not what he would have wanted, but those three years he was more open and approachable than he ever was before. As a massive fan I would have loved it to have gone better, but the chance to see him so relaxed and happy in hindsight means the world #Keepfightingmichael

    • Michael wasn't there to win every race like back in the days, it was a different story. According to Mercedes and Ross Brawn, he was testing some parts here and there, developing the car in racing conditions. There were a lot of mechanical failures at Michael's car.

  • The truth is out about Schumacher's career. His teammates all had to sign #2 driver contracts stipulating, before they even got in the car, that they had to play second fiddle. "That one area was that in every contract, whether I signed with Eddie Irvine, Rubens Barrichello or whoever they were - there was a clause there that they always had to play second-fiddle to Michael Schumacher" - Eddie Jordan. "At the time I handled people like Rubens Barrichello, Eddie Irvine, Giancarlo Fisichella and Jean Alesi, and every time we went to sign a contract with Michael Schumacher or Ferrari it always had conditions in it" - Eddie Jordan. "I had an opportunity to go to Ferrari but the contract that was offered by Jean was if Michael was 5th and I was 4th, I had to move over, if I was 1st and he was 2nd, I had to move over. Michael would have been in front of me, we all know that now but at the time I of course believed that I had the potential to be a world champion and I couldn't sign a contract that committed me to being a number 2" - David Coulthard. "If you look at Michael Schumacher, he never had a controversial team-mate. I was offered a Ferrari contract and it was a number-two contract. Clearly, Michael was a better driver than me but I couldn't sign a number-two contract because you're committing yourself to that, whereas Eddie Irvine was happy to sign it and milk it for all it was worth" - David Coulthard

    • "The truth is out about Schumacher's career. His teammates all had to sign #2 driver contracts stipulating, before they even got in the car, that they had to play second fiddle." Of course they had to; Schumacher was a fresh two-time world champion when Ferrari signed him; you think he would have signed a bad contract?? Schumacher WAS the team. Without him Ferrari probably still would be waiting for their first championchip since 1979. You seem to ignore, that Schumacher's success wasn't about his driving skills alone, it was about his ambition, fighting spirit and how he was able to form and motivate the Ferrari team around him. He himself brought his favourite mechanics to Ferrari, brought Ross Brawn to Ferrari, etc.. HE made Ferrari succesful in the first place. And by the way: The argument that Schumacher never had to compete an competitive team mate is utter bullshit; he was succesfully battling Ayrton Senna just after joining Formula 1 and Senna's Mclaren-Honda definately wasn't slower than Schumacher's Bennetton Ford in 1992. He was battling Villeneuve and Häkkinen for the championchip till the very last race in an inferior car. Schumacher proved his skills more than once; only a fool, a hater or someone who never watched Schumacher race in his first career can claim than Schumacher wasn't special. When he joined Mercedes he was 41 and four years out of racing; the people who claim that Schumacher wasn't that good in the end because he was beaten by Rosberg are just hilarious stupid! It's pretty embarassing for Eddie Jordan that he doesn't know better. You can't compare the Schumacher from 2010 with the Schumacher in his prime. From 1994 to 2006 Schumacher never finished worse than thrid in the drivers championchip, except 1997 because he was disqualified and 1999 when he broke his leg and couldn't take part for most of the season.

  • Those heady days when free to air F1 had both a budget and presenters that could talk in understandable english without messing up their words. Ever since then we either had a budget and incomprehensible presenters or good presenters and no budget. It took me a couple of years to be able to understand everything Mark Webber is saying, now I wish I hadnt bothered. The future looks bright with quality presenters like Billy Monger taking on a bigger and bigger role within the presenting team. Have a drink everytime Billy Monger makes up a new word.

  • They really missed a trick by not having Michael bump the back of David's legs with the buggy, accompanied by Murray's "OH GOD!!!" soundbite from Spa 1998, and then have the two of them pretend to argue all the way back to the pits about whether or not it was David's fault for lifting off on the racing line.

    • It was Damon's fault, diving into the track - without room for his car. He said it himself, he wouldn't do it again like that. He was coming out of the motorcycle sport - and the move was a classic motorcycle move and wrong. It's like that.

In the middle of the concert which I couldn’t enjoy because I constantly was thinking about the race, I went out to call my dad to ask how MSC was doing. He told me that MIchael was terrible and crashed out. No more fun for me that night! Not even with Deep Purple playing few steps away
