Is there a border we will never cross? Are there places we will never be able to reach, no matter what? It turns out there are. Far, far more than you might have thought…

  • Seriously, chew on this: I, personally jumped dimensions while I was sleeping. While one of the worlds "me"s was comatose a door opened and I found myself in a room with several "me"s and a long complicated method so when I woke up all the nurses were shocked that I came out of the coma so fast. There are many other dimensions. So, there are many other worlds almost identical to this one. I wonder if we will find them in my life.

Who wants to believe everything you do will be forgotten because there is no hope? Lets fight together until we reach unlimitence. The god or whatever it is wants us to pass the unpassable science facts which will end our history and future.

  • We live in a quiet arm of the Milky Way - a spiral galaxy of average size about one hundred thousand light-years across, consisting of billions of stars, gas clouds, dark matter, black holes, neutron stars, and planets, with a supermassive black hole in the galactic center. From afar, our galaxy seems dense, but in reality, it consists mostly of empty space. With our current technology, sending a human to the closest star will take thousands of years. So our galaxy is... pretty big. The Milky Way is not alone, though. Along with the Andromeda galaxy and more than fifty dwarf galaxies, it's part of the "local group" - a region of space about ten million light-years in diameter. It is one of hundreds of galaxy groups in the Laniakea Supercluster, which itself is only one of millions of superclusters that make up the observable universe. Now, let's assume for a moment that we have a glorious future. Humanity becomes a type 3 civilization, does not get wiped out by aliens and develops interstellar travel based on our current understanding of physics. In this best-case scenario, how far could we possibly go? Well, the Local Group. It is the biggest structure that humanity will ever be a part of. While it is certainly huge, the Local Group accounts for only 0.00000000001% of the observable universe. Let this number sink in for a moment. We are limited to a hundred billionth of a percent of the observable universe. The simple fact that there is actually a limit for us, and that there is so much universe that we will never be able to touch is kind of frightening.

    min yoongimin yoongi8 दिन पहले
  • The only way to travel to local groups is time travel or having the ability to stop time.

  • By the time we are a type 3 civilisation we will have access to wormholes and could easily travel between any galaxy in the observable universe. We might even leave this universe altogether and travel to a another with different physics or with higher beings than us. We mighty even be able to time travel by the time we are a type 3 civilisation or even merge with the universe and travel effortlessly to any point

  • So, actually, what we are seeing of the observable universe is from 15 billion years ago. The closer to ourselves objects are the more recent our observations. Does that mean that the white noise of the Big Bang is, in real time, actually beyond our ability to perceive and it will be another 15 billion years before we will see where the actual edge of todays universe? The problem with a little understanding is how evident it makes the lack of understanding! LOL!

  • When our local cluster of galaxies merge together and form milkdromeda, we won’t be able to observe anything outside of our galaxy becuase everything will have drifted far away. Lets say a new technological advanced species came to rise during that era, they wouldn’t be able to observe and study things like cosmic backround radiation, other galaxies, exct. So they will have no way of knowing the existence of anything other than their own galaxy and the open void of space surrounding it. That being said, they wouldn’t know of the big bang or anything else that led up to the existence of our local cluster. Now lets apply that same logic to us and our current universe. We could very likely be in a similar situation, there are things outside of our ability of observance, hence the name “observable universe.” That means that the true origins of the universe may lay outside of our reach, and other things aswell.

    Ryan PensingerRyan Pensinger12 दिन पहले
  • So, what if we achieve travel speeds greater than the expantion rate of the universe? At least for the observable universe the expantion rate is lower than the speed of light and ftl transit speeds do not seem unrealistic in the not so far future.

  • Advantualy, the point of the big bang is never moving. Maybe there's something we will be able to do that will make the universe stop growing. Also, we don't know how fast we will be able to move in the far, far future. I also think that the humanity will survive until Milkdromeda will be exist, What meens that we won't allowed different new civilizations to evolve. And last thing: there must be someway, that we don't know, to leave the universe, and a few billion years after we will do that, ower pressent will become a mythology that there will be no way to prove.

  • Actually there are a lot of possibilities and phenomena to tackle this problem. 1)We are unaware of the acceleration of the universe's expansion and it might start slowing down(we literally have no idea about the cause of acceleration) and hence this situation won't occur. 2) There is a possibility that the universe is not homogeneous (ie the laws of physics vary) which might lead us travel at speeds we can't imagine (imagine if speed of light goes to 10^100 m/s then how fast we can go!) 3) We haven't yet found a way to utilise wormholes but if we do so, then we might actually be able to travel a lot, lot quickly which might help us to easily escape our local group. There could be a lot more solutions but these are the only ones I can think of right now.
