No, even with phones people still hang out with each other. I remember last decade (which is still only recently over) I saw people hanging out and socializing a lot, and even those who were on the phones were still in the conversation if they chose to be (I often checked my phone, but still spoke to people while I did.)

@Rachel Berryman Susan's name should not be at the baby name. The baby has a father and a mother. Susan is just Carol's girlfriend/wife, this doenst make sense. Just one of the many unreal things of Friends for entertainment sake.
You know what I would’ve done? If I were Ross, I would ask to Carl for the last name of the child to be Willick, and the middle name to be a cross between Geller and Bunch. That way, everyone wins!
